“Vaughn. I look ridiculous.”
He laughs. “No, really, you look cute. No idea why more showgirls don’t dress that way.”
“Like a strawberry?” Sydney snorts. “Maybe because it looks stupid. I’m never going to be able to get close to our guy in this thing.”
“That’s not true,” Vaughn protests, helping her fasten the skimpy, strawberry-themed costume, “If I were a sleazy terrorist, I would make a pass at you right now.”
Sydney can’t help smiling as she turns to face him. “You’re so weird.”
He smiles too, giving her a kiss. “Be safe.”
